Some key elements of the job description for a Varsity Head Coach are:

·High ethical and professional standards.

·Must have knowledge of a variety of wrestling techniques and strategies.

·Must have knowledge of team dynamics at the high school level.

·Must have a plan to create a productive relationship with youth sports 
organization.

·Establish a relationship with the community support groups.

·Be an appropriate role model for high school-student athletics.

·Must have the ability to work in a cooperative and harmonious manner to 
be part of a school-wide athletic program.

·Develop and implement an off-season conditioning program.

·Must be creative and involved in fundraising programs.

_All new hired coaches will need to complete the following prior to 
employment:_

1. NFHS Certification

2. First Aid / CPR Card

3. District Background check

4. Completion of OSAA Concussion Test

5. Completion of OSAA Steroid Test

6. NFHS Guide to Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention Course

7. Completion of School District and OSAA paperwork

1. Letter of application detailing your experience

2. Resume

3. Current experience related to this position and working with students

4. A minimum of three letters of recommendation

5. A minimum of three references with contact information
